Pricing

How much does a website cost?

Website pricing depends on the plan you choose. We offer Essential, Standard, and Professional subscriptions, each with different features and monthly pricing.

Current prices and available promotions are listed in the pricing section above. Your monthly rate, included services, and any promotional terms will be confirmed before development begins.

Domain registration and certain third-party services are separate expenses. Any additional costs will be discussed beforehand.

How do I make payments?

Once we've agreed on your website and the service terms, we'll email you a secure link to set up your monthly subscription.

You can pay by credit card through Stripe, with supported digital wallets available at checkout. Stripe automatically processes subsequent monthly payments.

We also accept Interac e-Transfer and cash. These payments are arranged directly rather than charged automatically through Stripe.

Are there any upfront fees?

Our standard subscription plans do not require an upfront website development fee.

Your monthly subscription and payment schedule will be confirmed before work begins. Domain registration, paid third-party services, and work outside your selected plan may involve additional costs.

Any additional charges will be explained and agreed upon in advance.

Am I required to sign a contract?

Yes. Before development begins, we'll agree on a service agreement outlining your monthly price, included services, payment schedule, ownership, and cancellation terms.

Essential is offered on a month-to-month basis, while Standard and Professional have an initial 12-month agreement.

You'll have an opportunity to review the terms before committing.

Getting Started

What do you need from me to get started?

We'll start with a conversation about your business, how it operates, and what you'd like your website to accomplish.

We'll typically ask for your business name, contact information, services, pricing, photos, branding, and any existing website or domain details. We'll also ask about appointment booking, customer reviews, and any other tools your business currently uses.

If you have examples of websites you like, those are helpful too.

You don't need to have everything prepared. We can help establish the design and layout, even if you don't have existing branding or a clear idea of how your website should look.

If you need new photography or other additional services, we can discuss those separately.

How long will it take to build my website?

Most standard websites can be built in 1–5 business days once we have the information needed to get started.

You'll have an opportunity to review the proposed design before development begins, and you'll review the finished website before it's published.

More complex websites may take longer, particularly if they require custom features, additional content, or multiple revisions. We'll discuss the expected timeline with you before starting.

Do I need to purchase a domain?

No. Your website can use a free web address provided by the hosting platform, such as yourbusiness.pages.dev.

However, we recommend purchasing a custom domain, such as yourbusiness.ca, to give your business a more professional online presence.

Most standard domains cost approximately $10–$20 CAD per year, although prices vary depending on the name and extension you choose.

Your domain will be registered in your name, and you'll pay its registration and renewal costs separately from your monthly website subscription.

We can help you find an available domain, register it, and connect it to your website. You don't need to figure out the technical setup yourself.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. We can redesign an outdated website, improve its layout, or rebuild it from the ground up.

If you want to keep your current website and have us manage it, BYOW — Bring Your Own Website — may be a better fit. We can review websites on Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, and other platforms to confirm what we can support through your selected subscription plan.

Alternatively, we can rebuild your website and handle its hosting and maintenance through Market Avenue Development.

Your existing platform subscription fees remain your responsibility. Larger redesigns, new functionality, or work outside your plan may require a separate quote.

BYOW — Bring Your Own Website

Can you manage a website I already have?

Yes. If you already have a website through Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, or another platform, we can help manage and improve it without rebuilding it from scratch.

You can keep your existing website, design, domain, and hosting. We'll review your current setup to confirm what we can support and how we can work together.

What can you manage on my existing website?

We can help with content updates, photos, pricing, layout changes, troubleshooting, basic SEO, and supported integrations.

Depending on your plan and platform, we can also help monitor your website, address technical issues, and make ongoing improvements. For Shopify, this covers website content and presentation, not daily store operations such as fulfilling orders, customer service, or refunds.

Larger redesigns, new functionality, or significant repairs may require additional work. We'll explain what's included before we begin.

Does BYOW cost the same as your regular website plans?

Yes. BYOW follows the same Essential, Standard, and Professional subscription pricing shown above.

Instead of building a new website, we'll provide the ongoing management and improvements covered by your selected plan.

Your existing website platform, hosting, domain, and any paid third-party services remain separate expenses.

How do I give you access to my website?

Most website platforms let you invite someone to help manage your website without sharing your personal login credentials. For example, Wix and Shopify offer authorized access with assigned permissions.

We'll guide you through granting the minimum access needed for the agreed work. Your website and accounts remain under your ownership and control.

Do I need to change my hosting or website platform?

No. You can continue using your current provider.

We'll handle the website management tasks included in your agreement, while your existing provider continues to operate its hosting platform and infrastructure.

Services such as server maintenance, platform security updates, and automated backups are controlled by your provider. We'll explain which responsibilities we can manage directly and which remain with the platform.

What if my existing website has technical problems?

We'll review your website before taking over its management to understand its condition and identify any existing issues.

Routine troubleshooting and maintenance will be handled according to your subscription. More substantial problems, such as extensive repairs, outdated custom functionality, or security issues, may require separate work.

Any additional costs will be discussed before proceeding.

What happens if I cancel my BYOW subscription?

Your website remains yours. Since you're bringing your own website, there's no need to purchase it from Market Avenue Development.

Once our agreement ends, we'll stop managing the website and our access can be removed. You can continue using your existing platform independently or work with another provider.

Any remaining subscription obligations follow the cancellation terms of your selected plan.

Integrations

Can customers book appointments online?

Yes. We can connect the website we build for your business to an existing booking service such as Square Appointments, Booksy, Fresha, Phorest, Setmore, or Urable.

Depending on the service, customers can book appointments using a button, link, or booking widget. You can continue managing your appointments through the service you already use.

Can customers book services or request quotes?

Yes. If you use services such as Jobber, Housecall Pro, BookingKoala, ZenMaid, or Launch27, we can add supported booking or request forms to the website.

Customers can book services or submit requests through your existing service, so you can continue managing your business as usual.

Can I sell products online?

Yes. If you use Shopify, we can display products or collections directly on the website we build for you. Customers can browse your products and complete purchases through Shopify's checkout.

If you sell on Etsy, we can add links to your shop or individual product listings.

You can continue managing your products and orders through Shopify or Etsy.

Can customers make payments online?

Yes. We can add payment buttons or checkout links using Stripe or Square.

Customers can make secure payments through your chosen payment provider, while you continue managing transactions through your existing account.

Can you add my Google Maps location and reviews?

Yes. We can add an interactive Google Map to the website we build for your business, helping customers find your location and get directions.

The Standard and Professional plans also include an authentic Google Reviews showcase, helping visitors see feedback from your customers. We can include a link to your Google listing so visitors can read additional reviews.

Can I continue using the software I already have?

In many cases, yes. You don't necessarily need to replace the booking, payment, or store management software you already use.

If your existing service provides a supported booking link, payment link, form, or widget, we can connect it to the website we build for you.

We'll confirm compatibility and what's included in your plan before development begins.

What do you need from me to connect these services?

Usually, just a link or a small piece of code provided by the service you already use.

For example, this might be your appointment booking link, online store link, payment button, or Google business listing.

We'll explain what's needed for your particular setup. You won't need to share account passwords to connect public links or supported widgets.

Are there additional costs for integrations?

It depends on your subscription plan and the features you need.

The Standard plan includes a booking or quote-request integration and an authentic Google Reviews showcase. Professional includes these features along with specialized software integrations within the agreed scope.

Other integrations or custom functionality may require additional development work. Any extra costs will be discussed and quoted before work begins.

Third-party subscriptions and payment-processing fees are separate from your website subscription.

Changes

How do I request changes to my website?

Simply email us at proxy.to.zac@gmail.com and explain what you'd like changed.

Whether it's updating your business hours, changing prices, adding photos, or modifying your website's content, we'll take care of it.

For larger changes, we may arrange a call to discuss the details before we begin.

Are website updates included in my monthly payment?

Yes. Website updates are included in your monthly subscription, with the scope depending on your plan.

Routine updates can include changes to text, images, business hours, pricing, and existing content.

Larger changes, new features, or substantial redesigns may require additional development work. Your agreement will outline what's included, and any extra work will be quoted before proceeding.

Can I make changes to my website myself?

Yes, but most websites we build don't come with a drag-and-drop editor like Wix or Squarespace.

For most customers, the easiest approach is to email us the changes they want, and we'll make them as part of their monthly subscription.

If you have experience with website development, we can also arrange for you to work directly with the website's code through GitHub. This would give you the ability to make changes yourself, although we'd review those changes before publishing them to ensure everything continues working correctly.

What happens if I need changes beyond my monthly allowance?

Each subscription includes a defined scope of website updates and support. Routine content changes are generally included, while larger additions, redesigns, and custom functionality may require a separate quote.

We'll explain any additional costs and obtain your approval before starting work.

Support

Who do I contact if I need assistance?

You'll contact us directly at proxy.to.zac@gmail.com.

We handle customer support, website updates, and technical issues directly. You won't be passed between different support representatives.

What happens if my website stops working?

We'll investigate the issue and work to restore website-specific problems as quickly as possible.

For websites on external platforms, we can investigate the website and explain what we find, but the provider must resolve platform or hosting outages. We monitor websites for availability and technical problems where supported, although monitoring may not detect every issue.

If you notice something isn't working correctly, email us with a description of the problem, and we'll look into it.

Routine troubleshooting and repairs within your agreed scope are included in your monthly subscription. More substantial repairs may require separate approval.

How quickly can I expect a response?

We typically respond to emails within one business day.

Most support is handled outside regular business hours. Messages sent on weekends or holidays may take up to three days to receive a response.

Website outages are prioritized, although we don't currently provide guaranteed response times or 24/7 support.

Who handles website maintenance?

We do.

For websites hosted and managed directly by Market Avenue Development, your monthly subscription includes hosting management, technical maintenance, security updates, backups, and troubleshooting.

For BYOW websites, we handle the agreed management, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks, while your platform provider controls its hosting infrastructure, platform security updates, and automated backups.

Ownership

Who owns my website?

You always own your business name, branding, domain, and any original content or images you provide.

For websites developed by Market Avenue Development, the website's design and code are initially provided as part of your subscription. If you decide to move it elsewhere, you can purchase a transferable copy under the buyout terms in your service agreement.

Once purchased, you'll receive the files needed to operate your developed website independently, along with permission to use and modify them. Market Avenue Development retains ownership of its reusable templates, tools, and components, but this won't prevent you from operating your transferred website.

BYOW websites remain your existing property. They do not require a website buyout when the management subscription ends.

Who owns my domain?

You do.

Your domain will be registered in your name through a domain registrar. If you already have a domain, you can continue using it.

We can help you register a new domain, configure it, and connect it to your website. You'll remain responsible for its annual registration and renewal fees.

Even if you cancel your website subscription, your domain remains yours.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Cancellation terms depend on your subscription plan.

Essential is month-to-month, so you can cancel without committing to a long-term agreement. Standard and Professional have an initial 12-month term, with cancellation conditions outlined in your service agreement.

For websites developed by Market Avenue Development, hosting, maintenance, and support will stop when your subscription ends. The website may go offline unless you've arranged independent hosting or a transfer, and the transfer and buyout terms in your agreement will apply.

For BYOW, your existing website remains on your current platform. We'll stop managing it, and you can continue using it independently or work with another provider.

Can I transfer my website to another provider?

For a website developed by Market Avenue Development, you can arrange to transfer it to another provider or host it independently.

Once the ownership and transfer conditions in your service agreement have been met, we'll provide a transferable copy, including the applicable website files and content. Your new provider will be responsible for hosting, configuration, and maintenance.

A BYOW website is already under your control, so you can remove our access and continue with your current platform or another provider. Some third-party integrations may require separate accounts or subscriptions.

Your domain remains under your control throughout the process.
